About Just be

In the picture above you see me with my two amazing sisters. Brielle and Paige this is for you. I love you both so much and can't wait to see who God has in store for you and I hope that this collection of interviews and wisdom will help when it comes time to plan your weddings and prepare for a beautiful marriage!

Welcome to Just be. My name is Brittany Hoffman (that’s me in the middle). I am 23 and I started this blog and collection of stories and wisdom to help prepare all the brides to be for their future wedding day and marriage.

As I get older many of my friends are becoming engaged and getting married. The fantasy of wearing a pretty white dress and walking down the aisle to prince charming is becoming a reality. The goal of this blog is to prepare brides for all aspects of wedding planning as well as the more important part, their marriage. Something I think our generation struggles with is being so in love with the idea of getting married that we settle, forgetting that it is more important to wait for the right person than it is to get married as quickly as we can find someone to tie the knot with.

Through each interview brides will gain insight into what comes after the wedding, a life with someone that will make you happy, make you sad, challenge you, infuriate you, build you up, and break you down.

If this helps set up even one marriage for success then it will be worth it! Thank you to all the Just be brides.

Thank you to my mom and dad, John and Darcy Hoffman, for raising me to have high standards in everything I do. I will always cherish your wisdom and be forever grateful for the example you both set in your marriage and your life.

Ephesians 5:22-33

22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— 30 for we are members of his body. 31 â€œFor this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." 32 This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
